Owners keep the Pixel Watch 3 as an everyday watch they wear to bed, slim enough next to bulkier trackers, though a few have moved their sleep tracking to something else.
Wearing it overnight is realistic: one owner who sleeps in it finds it far less bulky than a Whoop 5 that snags on the pillow, and another who owns several trackers says it does the job and has no regrets. Only a handful of owners raised this, so it is not yet a verdict.
Sleep tracking is where the doubts sit: one owner had it stop showing sleep data after installing a public preview, twice, and another now prefers a different device for sleep because it tracks better and feels more comfortable. Again, too few accounts to call it either way.

Once it is just the watch on your wrist, the thing owners mention is size. It is small enough that people sleep in it without much thought, and one owner measures it against thicker trackers and is glad of the difference. Another, who has since tried a lighter band, found that the lighter thing was more comfortable overnight and freed up the wrist for a mechanical watch during the day.
Sleep tracking is the routine that either settles in or does not. For one multi-device owner it is competent and comparable to the alternatives. For another it broke after a software preview and took a long while to come back. Owners who care most about sleep data seem to be the ones drifting to a second device.
The one durability story here is software, not hardware: a public preview build disrupted sleep tracking, reverting fixed it slowly the first time and had not fixed it yet the second time. The owner's response was to stop trusting preview builds. There is also a passing note from one owner that the Pixel Watch 3 caused a comfort problem the smaller Pixel Watch 2 did not.
