Lagom 01

Once the novelty passes, the 01 tends to become one grinder among several. The owners who talk about it most are collectors with a shelf of burrs, and they describe it in terms of where it sits in that lineup rather than as the machine they cannot do without. Shot quality and build are the things they keep coming back to, and price comes up mostly in a positive light.

What they adjust to is the knowledge that other grinders pull ahead for specific styles. One owner sums up the field by profile: heavy syrupy body from the Niche, more separation from the Key, more clarity from the MC6, with the 01 in the mix rather than at the top of any one category. If you drink traditional medium to dark roasts, that same owner would point you elsewhere first.

The few accounts that speak to long-term reliability are positive, and the few on repairability are positive too. A separate handful raise machine reliability in negative or mixed terms, but there are not enough of them to call it a pattern either way.
