Owners keep the Claw 8 for its larger 8-inch screen and three to four hours of play per charge, and most rank it near the top of the handhelds they have tried, price aside.
Battery life comes up as a real strength: several owners get three to four hours on modern games, and one who moved from a 7-inch handheld went from under two hours to that range. Even the one mixed account still reached about three hours in balanced mode.
Price is the clear complaint. This is a device in the thousand-dollar range, and several owners say that at that money they expected a bigger gap over cheaper, older handhelds than they got, or ended up back on a cheaper device.

A few also note it is not OLED, and opinions differ on whether that matters.
That said, the long-term picture here is thin. Most of these accounts are from owners comparing the Claw against other handhelds within the first year, not from people describing it after years of use. One owner said they had a rival unit for two days when they wrote. We do not yet have enough accounts to say how it holds up over time, and we are not going to guess.
