Owners keep the P1S because it prints what they ask without a fight, turning the hobby from maintaining a printer into making parts, fidgets, and work fixtures.
Owners who came from Enders, MakerBots and Prusas say the P1S is the first printer they stopped troubleshooting: it runs like an appliance, and one owner who was repairing an Ender before every print says the P1S ended that routine.

The novelty here is that there is not much to adjust to. Owners describe unboxing it and printing the same day, and long-time hobbyists who built i3 clones say they now spend little or no time troubleshooting. Multicolour printing with the AMS is a consistent bright spot, with owners buying the combo and printing fidgets, gadgets and lithophanes nonstop. Several households note the printer gets used by partners and kids who never touched the old machine.
Some owners graduate to it from an A1 or a Prusa and still call it the go-to recommendation for most people. Others weigh it against cheaper Creality machines and accept that they are paying more to skip the tinkering. Build volume is where opinions divide: some find it enough, others wish for more or find themselves eyeing the larger H2 series. Owners printing ASA mostly get on fine, with a minority reporting trouble.
Most owners who talked about durability say it keeps working. One reports over 2,000 hours with no drama; another moved from fighting a Prusa with PETG to clean carbon fibre nylon and ABS prints every time. A minority describe reliability problems, and when those owners needed help, the support experience was more often a negative than a positive.
The long-term record is thin. Many of these accounts come from owners in their first weeks or months, and the highest hour count mentioned is a fraction of what the same owners report on decade-old machines. How the P1S holds up at 10,000 or 40,000 hours is not something these owners can yet say.
