Owners run the 600s to clear fine particles from their rooms, and one who has several says they do the job well, though heavy outdoor pollution and leaky doors can test it.

What keeps coming up
An owner who runs several 600s units says they perform well in their house. They add that in a clean room the display should sit at 001 around the clock, so a higher reading usually means a source like an air leak rather than a weak purifier. Only three owners raised filtration, which is too few for the site to give a verdict.
The other two accounts on filtration are mixed. An owner in Dubai feels their purifiers fall behind once the outdoor AQI passes about 150, with fine PM2.5 from desert dust, construction and traffic, and outside air getting in around doors. Another sees a very faint trickle of dust specks from the top outlet at full speed, which they put down to a loose seal at the black ring. Three accounts are too few to call this a settled complaint.
The Levoit Core 600S is a large, tower-style air purifier for big rooms and open living spaces. It connects to Wi-Fi so you can use a phone app or Alexa/Google Assistant, and it has a sensor that reports the air quality. Levoit now sells the same unit (model LAP-C601S-WUS) as the Core 600S-P.

What the specs mean
A CADR of 391 CFM is high for a home purifier. It can clean the air in a room of about 600 sq ft nearly five times an hour, which is enough for a large living room or open-plan space. At 26 dB on its lowest setting it is about as loud as a whisper, so it works in a bedroom at night, but at 55 dB on high it sounds like normal conversation. It uses at most 49 W, about the same as one old-style light bulb. Levoit does not give a set filter life, and the app tracks filter wear only when you use Levoit's own filters.
Compare the 600s with…
Pick up to three. You get a page with just those,
side by side, on the subjects owners raised.
The owner with several units is still happy with them and treats the display reading as a running check on the room. For them the target is 001 all the time. When the number creeps up, they look for where dirty air is coming in before they blame the machine.
Owners have adjusted around it. The Dubai owner is working on outside air leaking in around doors, because on bad days the purifier struggles to keep up with fine dust. Another owner takes the mesh pre-filter off because it cuts suction, and washes it even though they know it isn't meant to be washed.
Reliability & repairs
Nobody in these accounts reports a unit failing. The owner with several 600s says they keep doing their job. The only hardware quirk mentioned is a slight gap at the black ring seal, which one owner thinks lets the odd speck of dust out at full speed. They don't treat it as a reason to stop using the purifier.
The long-term record here is thin. Only three owners spoke about filtration, and none said anything about the motor, the sensor, or filter life over months or years. This page can't yet tell you how the 600s holds up over time.

Still going1 say theirs still works after a year or more. The longest: 4 years.

Nothing has a clear majority against it yet. Counted from the owners who raised each subject, not from everyone. A subject is judged once at least 4 owners raise it.
7 more subjects came up from fewer than 4 owners each, which is not enough for a fair reading. To see how it stacks up, compare it with another machine.

Own this one?
Two questions: how long you have had it, and anything you would
like to say about it. Then we ask again as it ages. This helps our

Still good used? What a used buyer should know, from owners a year or more in
Among the 1 owner accounts here that gave a duration, 0 described a failure.
Before you buy one used, ask the seller: how old it is, whether it was ever repaired and by whom, and whether any of the parts above have been replaced. Ask to see it run. A receipt tells you the warranty start date; most makers honour the term only for the first owner.
