TCL c7k

Owners keep the TCL C7K because it gives them a big, bright Mini-LED picture for far less than an OLED, and none of them say they regret choosing it.

What keeps coming up

Price is the thing owners come back to: a 65 or 98 inch set for a fraction of what an OLED of similar size would cost, with deep blacks, good motion and less worry about burn-in. Several say they would have bought an OLED if the budget allowed, and still do not regret this one.

What keeps coming up against it

No recurring complaint has surfaced yet. The one drawback raised, by a single owner inside an otherwise positive account, is viewing angle: sit off to the side and colours wash out and blooming takes on a pink tint. That is one voice, not a pattern.

Life with it

The lasting satisfaction is about size and brightness for the money. One owner sits five metres back and says the 98 inch model for under two thousand is simply more usable than a smaller premium set. Another moved from an old 55 inch LG LED to the 65 inch C7K and describes the change in their home as huge. An owner coming from an LG C1 OLED finds the TCL looks brighter, with blacks that stay black and motion handled well, and appreciates not having to think about burn-in.

The adjustment owners mention is seating. One notes that anyone not sitting straight on gets washed out colours and pinkish blooming, so the set rewards a room arranged around a central viewing spot. Owners also make the trade-off consciously: they would have liked an OLED, decided the price gap was not worth it, and are content with that choice.

Reliability & repairs

Nothing in the owner accounts describes a failure, a repair or a return. Several owners bought the set earlier this year and report it working as expected. One frames the purchase around the expectation that any TV, cheap or expensive, will be technically outdated in three to five years, so paying less up front made sense to them.

The long-term record is thin. The accounts collected so far are from owners in their first months with the set, and none of them speak to how it holds up after a year or more. We cannot yet say what breaks or what owners do about it; that will be filled in as longer-term accounts come in.
