Narwal Flow 2

Owners keep the Flow 2 for its mopping: hot water, detergent and an extending mop that rides baseboards leave hard floors clean without streaks, and most who weigh in overall would buy again.

What keeps coming up

Mopping is the thing owners praise most. The extending mop gets close to baseboards, edges and under kitchen cabinets, and the heated water and detergent leave glossy floors free of haze and streaks, which several owners coming from older Narwal, Roomba and Braava machines say is a clear step up.

What keeps coming up against it

The app is the clearest complaint. Most owners who raised it found it frustrating to use, even though some praised specific pieces such as Matter support that added the robot to Apple Home smoothly and with more control than expected.

Life with it

Once the setup is done, the mop is what people keep noticing. Owners on hard floors describe clean, streak-free results as the everyday routine, and the extending mop reaching edges and under cabinets is the difference they point to first. Suction, navigation, edge cleaning and battery life draw mostly good remarks, and the small group who summed up their overall experience were almost all satisfied.

The adjustments come elsewhere, and owners are divided on them. Obstacle avoidance splits evenly: some find it reliable and rarely stuck, others report it wedging under kitchen cabinets or getting confused by glass and tile, and owners trade tips about no-go zones and blocking off problem spots. Carpet is another split, with some owners pleased with thicker area rugs even in a heavy-shedding household, while others say suction on carpet is poor and that the robot bounces on medium-pile rugs and loses its seal. Hair tangling is likewise split, and the side brush design draws complaints from nearly everyone who mentions it. The app is the routine irritation most owners had to make peace with.

Reliability & repairs

Day-to-day cleaning, especially the mopping, is what keeps working in most accounts. When things go wrong, owners point to software rather than hardware: one owner described the robot misbehaving after a firmware update and needing a factory reset to recover, and others swap advice about recording a video and contacting support before touching the reset. Customer support itself is a divided theme, with more negative than positive accounts but a fair number of mixed ones, so owners cannot count on a smooth fix.

Long-term accounts are thin. Only a small number of owners spoke to reliability directly, most of them negatively, and many of the detailed reports come from people only weeks into ownership or comparing it with a previous Narwal. There is not yet enough here to say how the Flow 2 holds up over a year or more, and we will update this page as longer accounts come in.
