What keeps coming up
Owners clearly praise the sound quality. One owner who bought both the Ear 2024 and the Ear (a) thought the 2024 sounded slightly better, and another still strongly recommends them despite having a couple of issues.
Headphones and earbuds · Nothing
Owners keep the Nothing Ear 2024 mainly for its sound, which drew clear praise and no outright complaints, and one owner who also bought the Ear (a) preferred the 2024.
Owners clearly praise the sound quality. One owner who bought both the Ear 2024 and the Ear (a) thought the 2024 sounded slightly better, and another still strongly recommends them despite having a couple of issues.
No recurring complaint came up. The closest thing is that some of the sound quality accounts were mixed: one owner who recommends them mentions two issues without saying what they are, and another owner, unhappy with the EQ on the Ear (a), is hoping the 2024 has more treble without needing a preset.
Nothing Ear (2024) is a pair of wireless in-ear earbuds with a charging case, made by the London company Nothing. They're for people who want noise cancelling and high-quality audio in mid-priced earbuds that work with both Android phones and iPhones.

From the maker's spec page, checked October 10, 2026. A blank row means the maker does not state it.
45 dB noise cancelling is strong: it cuts most steady background noise, like engine hum on a plane or bus. The 40.5 hours is the total you get when you count the recharges from the case, not one listening session. Each time you put the earbuds in, they will run for much less than that before they need to go back in the case. The rows left blank weren't shown on the parts of Nothing's product page that loaded, so check them before relying on them.
Newer model
Ear (3) replaces this one. Ear (3) is the model that replaces Nothing Ear, and Nothing's US store still sells it. It has the same 45 dB noise cancelling and also supports 24-bit hi-res audio over LDAC. The main new feature is the "Super Mic", an extra microphone in the charging case that helps your voice come through clearly on calls in noisy places.
Pick up to three. You get a page with just those, side by side, on the subjects owners raised.
Sound is still the reason owners talk about them. One owner had used the Ear 2024 for two months before also buying the Ear (a) and still thought the 2024 sounded a little better. Another plans to try them on songs they find tiring to listen to, comparing them against over-ear headphones they already own.
Day to day, the Ear 2024 and the Ear (a) look almost the same, especially in black. The visible difference is the case, and the 2024's case supports wireless charging. On the Ear (a), one owner found the EQ weak and had to use a brighter preset. These accounts don't yet show whether the 2024 needs the same adjustment.
None of these accounts describe anything breaking or failing. One owner mentions two issues without describing them and still strongly recommends the earbuds.
The long-term accounts are thin. The longest use described is about two months, and no owner here reports on battery life over time, wear on the case or charging, or how the earbuds hold up after a year. We can't say yet how they last.

Nothing has a clear majority against it yet. Counted from the owners who raised each subject, not from everyone. A subject is judged once at least 4 owners raise it.
10 more subjects came up from fewer than 4 owners each, which is not enough for a fair reading. To see how it stacks up, compare it with another machine.
The same owner, asked again at each point. Fills in as owners answer.
Two questions: how long you have had it, and anything you would like to say about it. Then we ask again as it ages. This helps our mission.

Before you buy one used, ask the seller: how old it is, whether it was ever repaired and by whom, and whether any of the parts above have been replaced. Ask to see it run. A receipt tells you the warranty start date; most makers honour the term only for the first owner.
