Samsung s95h

There are not yet enough S95H owner accounts to say what it does well day to day; the few people discussing it are mostly shoppers weighing its glare handling against LG and Sony sets.

What keeps coming up

One account, from someone who owns the previous S95F, says natural light in a living room has not bothered them and that you would be hard pressed to go wrong choosing the S95H. That is a single voice, and it concerns the prior model.

What keeps coming up against it

The same account cautions that the S95 line is susceptible to natural light much like LG's G5, and another person shopping for a bright room points elsewhere (a Sony Bravia) instead. With only three accounts on this theme, the site does not rate it either way.

Life with it

Nobody in the accounts we have describes actually living with an S95H. The people talking about it are comparing it against an LG G5 or G6, a Sony Bravia 9 II, or an older LG C2, and are trying to decide whether reflections in their own rooms will be a problem. One person who saw the S95F on a brightly lit store floor thought it looked very good there, but also said the store is not what a home looks like.

The one recurring question is how a room's lighting interacts with the panel. One owner of the earlier S95F says it is fine in a living room with natural light; another shopper, sending back an LG G6 over reflections even in Filmmaker mode, is looking at the S95H as the alternative but has not lived with it. That is the whole picture so far.

Reliability & repairs

There are no long-term accounts of the S95H holding up, failing, or needing service. None of the comments we have describe an owner who has had the set for any length of time.

To be plain: this page rests on three accounts, all about glare, and mostly from people still deciding. We do not know how the S95H holds up, and we will not guess. This page will be updated as owner accounts come in.

What owners praise

Nothing with a clear majority yet. Owners who raised these subjects were split, or too few to judge.

Nothing has a clear majority against it yet. Counted from the owners who raised each subject, not from everyone. A subject is judged once at least 4 owners raise it.

19 more subjects came up from fewer than 4 owners each, which is not enough for a fair reading. To see how it stacks up, compare it with another machine.

Two questions: how long you have had it, and anything you would like to say about it. Then we ask again as it ages. This helps our mission.
