Owners keep the Kobra X for speed: it prints markedly faster than the older Anycubic machines they moved up from, and the few accounts here say it simply works.
Speed is the reason owners give for buying it and the thing they notice first. One upgraded from a Mega Zero and found the jump in pace startling; another ordered a Kobra X specifically because it prints faster than the i3 Mega they still run.
The speed comes with noise. The owner who upgraded from a Mega Zero says the older machine is much quieter and can run overnight without waking the house, which the Kobra X cannot. This is one account, not a pattern.

Once it is set up, the Kobra X seems to settle into being the fast machine in the house. The owners who came from earlier Anycubic printers treat it as a straightforward step up, and one who recommends modern printers to beginners puts it in the category of machines that work out of the box, in contrast to an old Ender that teaches you by making you fix things.
The adjustment owners mention is when to run it. One account keeps the quieter old printer for overnight jobs and uses the Kobra X when noise does not matter. Another owner got theirs through Anycubic's maker rewards program rather than buying it, alongside a Kobra 3 and a large amount of free filament, so for at least one person the cost of ownership was effectively nothing.
The one owner who speaks to durability says their Kobra X is fine and behaves like the majority of them out there. That same owner runs several printers from different brands and makes the point that forums attract people with problems rather than people whose machines are working, so complaints online overstate the failure rate. Nobody in this set describes a breakage or a repair.
