The Air 3S locks onto satellites while sitting at its takeoff position before the motors ever spin up. Owners who know this skip the hovering step entirely and get straight into the flight without burning battery time on acquisition.

Owners who have figured this out report it becomes second nature and stops feeling like a limitation. The drone's size is appreciated for hiking and travel, though at least one owner reaching for something even more packable has moved a second, smaller drone into the bag alongside it.
GPS-free return to home comes up as a feature owners are specifically looking forward to using in the same conditions they already fly a smaller craft.
