Ecovacs T20

Owners keep the T20 Omni for mopping that works well on tile and hardwood, at a price many call good value, and they put up with a glitchy app.

What keeps coming up

Mopping is what owners like most: most of those who discussed it were positive, and one calls it decent on both tile and hardwood.

What it is

The Ecovacs DEEBOT T20 OMNI is a robot vacuum that also mops, with spinning mop pads. It comes with a base station that empties its dust bin and washes and dries the mops. It suits people with hard floors and some rugs who want little hands-on upkeep.

What the specs mean

At 6000 Pa it picks up everyday dust and crumbs well, though newer models pull much harder on deep carpet. About three hours per charge covers most homes in one go. The 3 L bag in the dock holds several weeks of dirt, so you rarely touch the debris. The mops lift on rugs, so your carpets stay dry while it mops the hard floors.

Life with it

What keeps people happy is the mopping and the price. Everyone who commented on value for money or price was positive, and one owner who stepped up to the T20 from a cheaper robot without an empty station called it amazing. Another says it still runs well after two years of cleaning almost twice a day, and that its obstacle avoidance handles low metal furniture rods and wires, even in the dark.

The adjustments are about where it can and can't go. One owner found it would not fit under a bed or couches that a smaller robot had managed. Another said it refused to go under a sofa gap taller than the robot itself. One owner finds it misses corners and edges. Owners are mostly negative on obstacle avoidance, navigation and carpet as well, and one reported it getting stuck between chair legs and needing rescue. The app is the part people deal with daily, and it is where most of the frustration sits.

Reliability & repairs

Owners lean positive on reliability overall. The clearest long-term account is an owner who has run it for two years and says it is still going strong. Another had no issues at all. Problems reported include a LiDAR error message after a month of use, and the robot getting stuck and needing rescue. One owner had no water reaching the mop pads at all, and another saw the pads dripping and the dock ramp wet after a mop run.

Customer support is a concern: most owners who mentioned it were negative. One owner whose mop pads got no water was told to reset the machine, which did not help, and then found phone support unhelpful. Long-term accounts are thin. Only one account here covers a stretch as long as two years, and the rest are from the first weeks or months, so how the T20 holds up beyond that is not well covered yet.

Counted from the owners who raised each subject, not from everyone. A subject is judged once at least 4 owners raise it.

59 more subjects came up from fewer than 4 owners each, which is not enough for a fair reading. To see how it stacks up, compare it with another machine.
