eufy C28

Owners with hard floors and shedding dogs keep the C28 for its self-cleaning roller mop and because pet hair has not tangled it, and most say it made their floors cleaner.

What keeps coming up

The roller mop pulls a surprising amount of dirty water out of floors and handles muddy paw prints and spills that pad-style mops would smear around. Owners who bought it for this say the day-to-day result is a visibly cleaner house.

What keeps coming up against it

Customer support is the one theme with a negative account, and there are too few to judge either way. One owner had a unit that worked for eight months, then went back three times for a water pump, a stuck wheel and a recurring error, and the replacement failed within weeks.

Life with it

What keeps pleasing people after the first weeks is the mop. The roller cleans itself as it goes, and the volume of dirty water that ends up in the dock tank keeps reminding owners why they chose a roller over pads. On mostly hard floors with a few rugs it picks up surface dirt and paw prints well enough that the house simply looks cleaner without much effort, and it is quiet enough for one owner to run it overnight, apart from some bumping.

The routine side is unremarkable in a good way. It maps, runs on a schedule, and the app is described as straightforward, with a simple choice between an automatic mode and a custom one. Owners with long-haired dogs who were nervous about hair on the roller say it has not been an issue, and one long-time owner of the older C20 sees the C28 detangling brush as a step up from the cutter comb. One owner tinkered with a finer filter mesh after finding tiny hairs getting into the filter holes, and a couple mention buying a maintenance kit and cleaning solution as part of the running cost.

Reliability & repairs

Most accounts here are from the first few months, and within that window the picture is good: the mop and roller keep doing their job, hair has not wrapped the roller, and one beta tester at around six months still reports no tangles and cleaner floors than before. One owner noticed the dock tank collecting far less dirty water on one run than usual, without a clear cause.

Long-term accounts are thin, and the one that runs past eight months is the bad one: repeated returns for a water pump, a stuck wheel and a recurring error, followed by a replacement that failed quickly. Another owner of an older Eufy found the company would attempt an out-of-warranty repair but then offered only a discounted new unit. Two other owners describe support positively. That is not enough to say how the C28 holds up past its first year, and the confidence owners have in Eufy mostly comes from older models that have lasted them years.

Nothing has a clear majority against it yet. Counted from the owners who raised each subject, not from everyone. A subject is judged once at least 4 owners raise it.

29 more subjects came up from fewer than 4 owners each, which is not enough for a fair reading. To see how it stacks up, compare it with another machine.
