Owners keep the S95F for a bright QD-OLED picture that stays watchable in rooms full of windows and lamps, and most say the matte screen is the reason they chose it.
The picture holds up in both directions: HDR movies and games look excellent, blacks stay inky at night, and the set gets bright enough for daytime sports in a well-lit room. Several owners who came from Sony or LG glossy sets say this is a clear step up in their living rooms.
The matte coating is praised by most, but not everyone. One shopper walked away because it seemed to soften the image and lift black levels with the lights on, and another owner found small white spots under the coating on two Samsung sets in a row, visible up close.

What keeps pleasing people is the thing they bought it for: pendant lights, side windows and city condo glass that used to sit in the top third of the old screen simply vanish. Daytime sports, HDR films and gaming all get singled out, and a couple of owners mention the One Connect box tidying away cables as an unexpected daily convenience.
The adjustments are smaller than the internet chatter suggested. Several owners admit they were nervous about the matte finish before buying and recommend seeing it beside an LG or Sony in a store; after that, most stopped thinking about it. One owner with both an S95F and an LG G5 at home could not tell the colours apart, and another still is not sure the picture beats the older set it replaced. The Samsung interface and its pile of preloaded apps irritate at least one owner who otherwise likes the TV.

The one recurring physical complaint is white spots under the anti-glare coating, reported by an owner on an S95D and again on the S95F they ordered afterwards; they are invisible from normal seating distance but present. Game mode is noted for not locking out settings, and the One Connect box gets a mention as a convenience rather than a fault.
