What still pleases owners after the novelty passes is the sense that the machine does not need babysitting. The comparison people keep making is with an Ender 3 they had modified and fought with; next to that, the MK4 is described as the one that just works, and one owner repurposed the old printer as a spool holder. Not every account is spotless: one owner said a recalibration did not fix a problem.
The adjustment owners talk about most is the upgrade question, and they are divided on it. Some see the upgrade path as the reason Prusa costs what it does, pointing to the MK3 owners who could choose between several upgrade routes when the MK4 arrived. Others feel the path forward from the MK4 is poor value, since the kit to the newer Core One leaves much of the machine behind, and one owner chose a new Core One kit over upgrading the MK4 they already had. Owners also wonder whether newer belt and pressure advance features will come to the MK4S, but there are too few accounts on that to say.
