Owners keep the D20 as a set-and-forget vacuum that handles pet hair and litter scatter well; most treat the mopping as a minor extra rather than something they rely on.
The vacuuming side does the job owners bought it for: it copes with dust and pet fur, one cat household says it noticeably cut down fur and litter scatter, and the auto-empty bag went two months without filling.
The mopping is a clear complaint. Owners describe it as a damp pad dragged over the floor, one says it could not lift basic stains even at maximum water, and another who came from a spinning-mop robot found it plainly worse.

Once it is mapped and on a schedule, the D20 mostly disappears into the routine. One owner runs it twice a week upstairs and forgets it is there; another liked the first one enough to buy three more so each floor of a townhouse has its own rather than carrying one up and down. Setup and programming came up as easy, and the room mapping, boundaries and automatic emptying are the features people say they actually wanted at this price.
The adjustment is deciding what the mop is for. Owners who expected it to scrub were disappointed; those who treat it as a light wipe and spot clean tough stains or spills by hand are content. One owner who runs an Ultra on a second floor without the dock notes the mop pad is not washed there, so it is used as a vacuum only. Pet owners also mention brushing their animals more often to keep fur from building up on the roller, though other pet households said hair caused no trouble.
In the accounts we have, the vacuuming, mapping and auto-empty keep doing what they did on day one, and nobody described the unit failing outright. The one maintenance point raised is hair on the brush in heavy-shedding homes, which owners manage by brushing pets and doing a slow, repeated pass. On support, a couple of owners were satisfied, one via the retailer swapping the unit, while another happy owner still felt Dreame's warranty backing was less certain than a rival's.
That said, the long-term picture here is thin. Most accounts are from the first few months, several are from people still deciding whether to trust it, and none of them describe ownership past a year. We cannot yet say how the motor, battery or dock hold up over time, only that early owners have not reported breakdowns.
